Specifications of HTC’s Second Nexus Smartphone Unveiled

Specifications on the other and larger Nexus-top model from HTC called Marlin has been revealed only a week after the smaller Sailfish-model.

It is this year Taiwanese HTC, who gets credit for the third time to produce, not only one, but this time two different Nexus-smartphones.

Last week was most specifications on the smallest 5 “model with the codename Sailfish revealed by the website Android Police. Now, a week after, the selfsame website revealed the specifications of the larger model, who goes by the name Marlin-both tradition named after fish.

As the very first leaked information pointed to, get this larger Nexus smartphone a screen of 5.5 “, which is of AMOLED type, like last year’s Nexus 6 p. The solution remains the same – namely QHD consisting of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels.

In mechanics hides a quad-core processor from Qualcomm by a yet unknown type. The uncertainty is due to the fact that there are two improved editions soon on the way of Snapdragon 820 processor – respectively Snapdragon 821 and 823, Snap dragon which get screwed speed a tooth up and supports up to 8 GB of RAM.

At a minimum, you should therefore be able to expect a Snapdragon 820 processor. Whether it will be one of an upgraded variants, is still too early to say.

The processor will be complemented by 4 GB of RAM, which is an upgrade of 1 GB compared to the Nexus 6 p, but still 2 GB less than the latest top model from OnePlus. 4 GB, however, will in all likelihood be more than sufficient to far most people’s needs.

Coming two variants of storage: 32 GB or 128 GB, which is not immediately can be supplemented with an external microSD card. In front of the camera will be at 12 megapixels, while there will be 8 megapixel to do well with on the front.

If you appreciate good, front-facing speakers as on Nexus 6 p, will this sequel may disappoint on the point. They will actually be moved down to the bottom, as on many other smartphones.

The battery is not incremented in capacity compared to last year’s Nexus 6 p, but will continue to be a bit larger than many other top models from this year. There is therefore room for 3,450 mAh.

With specifications unveiled at both Nexus phones, it is therefore clear that Google rates on a similar strategy as Apple did with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, where they are on the exterior are similar and have close to identical specifications. The difference seems to be only on the screen size, resolution and the battery capacity – everything else promises to be identical on the two.
