H&M Close the Loop Collection

Loop”, Line Denim Cotton Recycled H& M presents “Close the Loop”, a new line of denim produced from recycled cotton from used clothing, to reduce the environmental impact of fashion and reduce textile waste.

Fashion and environment can be allies and H & M’s from 2013 that reminds us of the “initiative Garment Collecting”, a project to collect used clothes, in any condition and of any brand, which enabled the Swedish group to recover  14,000 tons used clothing , of which 1,000 only in Italy, brought in its stores by customers.
An initiative that finds its fulfillment in “Close the Loop”, the new denim line of H & M , arriving in September. The particularity? The entire collection will be made with recycled cotton coming from these used clothing and organic cotton.

The new line, which will be available from September 10, both in stores and online, is dedicated to both women , with three different female models of jeans , from skinny to the girlfriend, a jacket, a bib and a flared jumpsuit ; both men , with a jacket with zip, two models of jeans and a pair of shorts with the press; without forgetting the children , with a sweatshirt with zip and hood, a pair of shorts and tight jeans and a couple softer and a T-shirt street style.

A collection designed therefore to reduce the environmental impact of fashion and thus to a more sustainable fashion, as emphasized by the words of Karl-Johan Persson, CEO of H & M:

The creation of a closed circuit for the textile sector, in which clothes used can be recycled into new garments, not only allows to reduce to the minimum the textile waste, but also to effectively limit the use of natural resources and, consequently , the impact fashion has on our planet.
But “Close the Loop” is certainly not a point of arrival, or rather; 2015 H & M aims to increase the amount of products made with recycled fibers by at least 300% compared to 2014, by the end of the year. But not only that for now the amount of recycled cotton garments is present in 20%, a percentage that the group is determined to overcome in the coming years, investing in new technologies to not affect the quality of his clothes.

This is fashion that we like!
